About Francois Lambrechts
Husband, father and keen open water swimmer. I am a para (S10) swimmer from Dunedin. I was born with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A (CMT1A), which is an inherited neurological disorder that affects the peripheral nerves. I do not come from a competitive swimming background, but I eagerly embraced open water swimming in 2019 and took on the challenge of ice swimming in 2022.
