Mid-January is a great time to hop in an outdoor pool in Holland and go for a swim. And you’ll have an opportunity to do just that between Friday 19 and Sunday 21 January 2018 if you take part in the Dutch Open Ice Swimming event at Zwembad Waterdam Volendam. Located a stone’s throw from the Markermeer, just north of Amsterdam, the pool at Waterdam will play host to a great event organized by the Open Water Swimming Club. Competitors can choose from a list of six solo events ranging from 100 meters to a mile and a 4 X 100-meter mixed freestyle relay.
