On Sunday 10 December 2017, a section of the River Labe nestled in picturesque Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, will play host to an ice swimming event offering three distances: 100 meters, 500 meters, and 1 kilometer. Hradec Králové Revel in the icy competition and soak up some old Bohemian history while you’re there. This town used to be home to Elizabeth Richeza of Poland, second wife of Bohemian King Wenceslaus II (of Christmas carol fame).
