About Tiffiny Quinn
Irish sea swimmer and Ice swimmer, I am happiest in the water.
My qualifying 500m in Armagh at 0.8 degrees was the hardest thing I’ve done, I only got through it through stubbornness and a determination to not quit before my dear pal Gus Cooney in the lane beside me.
I\'ve gone on to do many Kms and one ice mile and I have been privileged to represent Ireland at two World Championships in Burghausen and Murmansk
For me Ice Swimming is about preparation, removal of self doubt and a trusted support team.
It tests you completely but you come out the other side elated and better aware of your capabilities. It puts work dramas into perspective, if you can swim a 1km under 5 degrees you can probably get that report done in time!
