About Mary Swallow
I’m a junior doctor working and living in Sheffield. I have been swimming in cold temperatures for the last couple of years but swam through the full winter skins last year, some swims involving ice in the lake. I competed in the GB ice swimming championships at Sandford Lido in 2023 and swam the 250m freestyle race coming first in my age group. This was my first IISA event but I really enjoyed it and am planning to compete in the 2024 GB champs. I regularly swim with the City of Sheffield Swimming club in the masters squad and also compete in the pool.
