About Toni Enderli
Toni’s mantra “Live Life Now” should include…” to the extreme”.
An extreme athlete, Toni has accomplished some of the world’s most mind-boggling ocean swims and is constantly setting his sights on world-record achievements – simultaneously raising funds or awareness for good causes.

I began open water swimming in 2009. The freedom, connection with nature and pure challenge associated with it had me right from the start – I was hooked. It has become the catalyst for the rest of the challenges I face, the drive I developed for swimming seeped into all the other areas of my life – career, family and personal goals. The way in which I began to face these aspects was the way in which I had learned to face my swimming challenges – with passion, unwavering determination and maximum positivity. Open water swimming has taught me that it does not matter how old or young or you are, nothing is impossible and whatever you put your mind to, you can achieve – if you want it badly enough!

Toni is one of only a handful of Swiss - South Africans to be taking on the mammoth Oceans Seven – seven of the world’s most grueling ocean swims: the North Channel, the Cook Strait, the Molokai Channel (completed), the English Channel (completed), the Catalina Channel, the Tsugaru Strait and the Strait of Gibraltar (completed). He swims in a Speedo, cap and goggles only, and has a staggering 30 Robben Island crossings under his belt – one of South Africa’s toughest ocean swims across a volatile channel alive with ocean life and characterised by an average water temperature of 13C
