About Patrick Lacey
I started swimming begrudging to support my wife in her OWS pursuits, but who knew that I would be hooked.

Never a great swimmer at school, absolutely average, and for whom the prospect of swimming any further than 200m was, frankly, ridiculous. Turns out I can swim a lot longer than that having completed Ullswater and the Thames Marathon amongst other events in 2022, have only started in Aug 2021.

2022/2023 will be my first winter skins having completed 2021/2 in a wetsuit, but doing long durations and (for me) distances. It was during that period that I adopted the name Tugboat pOrca, as I am as steady (and stocky) as a tugboat and I put the \\\\\\\"P\\\\\\\" on Orca (my choice of wetsuit...and I am somewhat \\\\\\\"thick around the middle\\\\\\\")

It appears that you can do a fair bit if you have a go!
