About Penelope Armstrong
Late in life evolving athlete who loves swimming cold. It must be the Scotch-Irish blood! Looking forward to pushing more ice as I continue to be @Aged_In_Ice.
Belfast, Maine, USA is a winter rowing town and the goal here is NOT to end up IN the ocean so there are only three of us regularly in the water-one bobble hat and two of us swimming three days a week. In Jan. of 2022 the average ocean temperature here in Belfast was 1.3C and my average time in the water was 6 minutes.
Loved the Memphremagog Winter Swimming Festival in 2022 as it was the first time I was around a host of people who actually swim! Looking forward to 200m at Memphremagog in 2023 and other icy adventures.
