Old tight calf muscles would keep tearing when running so decided to try swimming and now in my 5th season at Serpentine Swim Club. After entering the Big Chillswim 450m. race in my 2nd season it progressed to an IceK in Loch Lomond, and last season my first Ice Mile. There is a great group to swim with at Serpentine, especially seeing as most are stronger and faster, so it keeps me striving to improve as a relative beginner.
