About Miguel Vadillo
Miguel Vadillo is a Mexican open water swimmer and coach.

He swam across Lake Ontario in August, 2010.
He was nominated for the 2010 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year for his bone-chilling 18 hour 4 minute marathon swim. He became the 44th person to successfully conquer the lake while raising C$12,000 for swim and water safety programs in Ontario, trying to do something to avoid preventable drownings among young immigrants.

In 2014 founded Embrace Open Water Swimming a coaching company dedicated to help athletes of every ability and experience to achieve their goals in swimming whether in the pool open water triathlons or marathon swimming
He is a graphic designer working today as the marketing manager for Benson Steel.
He was a swim master for the Great Lakes Crossing Organization when active.
He was a swim master for Annaleise Carr\'s swims in Lake Erie in 2014.
In 2019 was a swim master for Elizabeth Banducci swim across Lake Erie
and 2022 was a swim master for Becky Yuan\'s swim across Lake Erie.

He is the co-organizer of the 20 km Embrace The Challenge across Lake Erie.

After being a competitive swimmer and later a modern pentathlete in Mexico, in 2004 he arrived in Canada and became the Ontario Modern Pentathlon coach.
